OMNI Institute
OMNI Institute is a nonprofit social science consultancy that provides integrated research, evaluation, and capacity-building services to foster understanding, guide collaboration, and inform action to accelerate positive social change.
OMNI is an evaluation partner for North Dakota’s SOR grant and will work to collect, analyze, and report on SOR-related programs. They will also provide technical assistance to sub-awardees to navigate the reporting processes.

Shon Reed
Shon Reed (he/him), Ph.D., is a Research Manager at OMNI and will serve as Project Lead. Shon has a Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice and brings over nine years of social science experience with expertise in employing quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods approaches. At OMNI, he is currently involved with several projects related to community health and the opioid epidemic across the country. In his free time, he enjoys reading, going for walks, exploring new restaurants with his wife, and wrangling his two cats.

Julia Simhai
Julia Simhai (she/her), MPH, is a Director at OMNI and will serve as Project Oversight. Julia has held oversight roles on several federal substance use grant evaluations, including the State Opioid Response Grant in Virginia; Substance Use Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery Services Block Grants in Wyoming, Virginia and Colorado; Partnerships for Success grants in Wyoming and Virginia; and regional opioid abatement initiatives in Colorado. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, baking, and spending time with her family.

Lauren Rosenbaum
Lauren Rosenbaum (she/her), MPPA, is a Researcher at OMNI and will serve as Data Manager and TA Lead. Lauren’s portfolio of behavioral health experience includes assisting with data management, qualitative and quantitative data collection, technical assistance, and deliverable creation for the Virginia SOR grant. In her free time she enjoys crocheting, kayaking, and hiking with her husband and Australian cattle dog.

Meredith Newhouse
Meredith Newhouse (she/her) is a Quantitative Analyst at OMNI and will serve as the Quantitative Specialist, leading the development of the data collection and analysis processes for reporting. At OMNI, she works on several projects related to substance use and behavioral health. Outside of work, she enjoys crafting, reading, and traveling.
